We arrived at Mill Run Creek Campground on Friday, July 24th Our campsite was located in Thornton, Indiana which is about 30 minutes outside of Indianapolis. This was the first really hot weather we had experienced on our trip thus far. Thank goodness for air conditioning. Now its time to return to our home in Curitiba after living out of our backpacks for almost 11 months. It will be nice to sleep in our own beds and unpack our backpacks for good. On the 24th, we will fly from Miami directly to Curitiba. It will be so nice to come home. We will see Jessica next week in Curitiba. She is doing an internship in Salvador, Brazil on her summer vacation.
The past two days have been absolutely wonderful, even with the rains that have lingered (and even gotten worse). Wednesday, we traveled to a unique burial mound in the shape of a cross. A lovely walk through the woods sheltered us from the majority of the larger rain drops and the walking sticks we bought for our trips came in very handy on the muddy path.
