... and spent another night of fun with the family. It actually wasn't too bad at all and as we really thought about the situation, we realized that we were thankful for a few things: 1 - we are thankful that we caught the "noise" before getting on the road and risked breaking down and 2 - we were thankful to spend another day with family who we only get to see once a year anyway. It's almost 8:45pm & we're in GA. We've made some new friends & learned a lot about train travel already. The train is nice, roomy & quiet. Apparently Amtrak subsidizes it's fares by cranking up the AC & then selling blankets!!! We're enjoying the trip so far & can't wait to get into the City tomorrow! We're due to arrive at 2:30pm & then look out Big Apple...here we ...

... Had it been stashed away during the conflict rather than used to support the rebels? We didn’t discover – murky dealings even then! It now sits on just six acres of glorious old trees drooping with Spanish Moss – if only they could talk.

Finish the day past Savannah at the cheapest campground yet, $27, but full plug-ins (water, power, cable TV and waste), great internet, the best yet washrooms – a lake view and quiet (so ...
