Last proper day here and was feeling ill couldn't make it to Oak St beach with I & J so off to Gracelands( no,not that one ) Chicago's cemetery of the great and good ! Large & landscaped more like a park, it was very hot there with cicadas buzzing madly,interspersed with sounds of the the rattling L nearby. ... dessert (rose fromage blanc!) Divine. Carrie came out to introduce the meal and then spoke again as we had dessert about how the restaurant came about. Her history and the intertwined careers of her family were really interesting and clearly a big part of why she is successful isn't just her creativity in the kitchen but her philosophy for staffing and developing talent.
I think I better spend Thursday in the gym.
