... having lunch, we hit the road. We still had a long trek to Fargo, which is just over the border in North Dakota. And the further west we went, the larger the farms seemed to be. No longer were the farm houses obvious to us from the road…only miles of crops and many little lakes. Minnesota is The Land of 10,000 Lakes. I guess irrigation is not an issue in Minnesota.

We landed in Fargo a 4:30 a bit spent. Tomorrow, we head to Montana, Big Sky Country. ...

... just off Rt. 94. There were no staff here when we arrived around 6 PM but they left us some info at the office. We had a devil of a time finding our campsite then couldn't fit into it once we did because (of all things) a huge gimp sign located on the site. So, we moved to the site next door but used the 50 amp connection on our first site (ours was only 30 amps). The lake was pretty BUT it was chilly out and pretty windy. Anyway, it all ...

This entry is only to keep my map current. We came across the eastern part of North Dakota, past Fargo and into Minnesota where we stayed at a great city park for the night. All grass and, with ************e there, peaceful.

I went for a run in the morning and then we headed across Minnesota towards Duluth...past ALL those lakes in Minnesota! So many of them.

... then took a nap until around 6 when we went to go get dinner. We ate dinner at the Jade Dragon (Chinese food) and then headed to Kroll's Diner for some fries and shakes. A weird combination but both were really good. From there decided to walk off our food by taking a stroll through downtown Fargo. It's a quaint little town with plenty to do. We stopped in a bar called Rooters where we met a lovely young couple from Fargo. One was a marine who ...

... It wasn't too crowded either. The rides were well maintained and a decent thrill. Multiple rollercoasters and other vomit rides. The cleanest amusement park I've been to. Really. We also had to hit the Lego store and the American Girl store. The kids made their purchases (they brought more money than we did) and we headed out. Made a grocery run for a french loaf, lunchmeats, cheese, olives, etc for a picnic at Lake Calhoun where ...
