... of course. Good burgers at a good price means this is a popular place, especially amongst the UT students.

After lunch, some more shopping with Sue going to Macy's and Sam and I off to Wal-Mart & Academy Outdoor & Sports.

Dinner tonight was at the Texas Land & Cattle Steakhouse. Pretty good steaks at this place with good service.

Back at the Omni Hotel, Sue and I finished up with a late evening eggnog & scotch ...

... Not to mention that Caroline wasn't too excited about using a tiny shower or emptying a portable septic tank. So instead, we opted to drive a regular sized car, and stay at hotels, campgrounds, and rent a few homes along the way using HomeAway.com. We were going to drive all the way to California from Austin, and then realized how many miles of "nothingness" there was between here and El Paso.

... power company and has 5 kids.. Not sure how great a dad he is but he's cool as hell... His investment ethos being: If its cool and it'll advance the cause of humanity he'll do it. LAD. First night out was a big one in the venue known as Viceland. A magical place with a completely free bar (sponsor paid for) that would serve you 4 strong vodka mixers at a time... ... I-10 but amazing across 290.

Our room is in a perfect part of town. Close enough to walk to 6th Street. Near a wonderful park with disc golf. Easy get-out-of-town access too.

This is a great town. Thanks to SAT "Coach" for the pointers. Dana too. The people here are quite friendly and have given us good visitor direction too. Bike paths everywhere and good food for those of us who should be on a budget!

... it was not dry, it went back into the closet as not suitable for travel. The end result of what we packed is below:
