Left Waterford early to catch the ferry for Wales and the port of Pembroke. Crossing was slightly rougher than going over and we couldn't see anything for the first two hours due to rain and mist.

... I turn around, pull my shorts down and sit in one co-ordinated move. As I am going seat wards, thinking "made it" for one micro second I relax. Mistake. My cheeks hit the toilet lid which I had failed to notice was down! I think I let out a scream and have never moved so fast. I managed to avoid a total, major disaster, but must confess I didn’t avoid a small one. All I can say to the campsite, I did my best to clean it up with what I had at my disposal.
... of Heddon’s Mouth but opted to scramble up the scree. This time I stuck to the path; that was tricky enough. In Woody Bay there is one of the nicest waterfalls I think on the path. And, randomly a signpost to New Zealand!
Approaching Lee Abbey there is some of the most beautiful woodlands too. At the entrance to the path there is a sign “Enter His Gates with Thanksgiving” But underneath a notice had been stuck there, ...
... by now, we saw dolphins around Baggy point. Or were they Porpoises? Whichever, we enjoyed watching them as they seemed to follow us into Putsborough. Today though it was head down to keep the rain out the eyes. Then there’s the huge Whale bone entering Croyde. I dragged Lydia and Ellie as 4 year olds, in pink willies and macs along the path to see it in weather similar to today’s. That year the weather was so bad, we packed the tent ...
