Today, we went to a beautiful home I Modena where they produce Balsamuc Vinegar over many years. We tasted 7 vinegars that were aged from 15-25 years. They were so unique with subtle differences. They dont sell to shops, but freight to anywhere in the world.
We had a brilliant education session and got a whole new appreciation for it.
Ummm, needless to say I bought some.

We caught the train from Bologna to Rimini for the day. We were met by Federica Farnetti, from the University of Bologna, who John had met on a work trip to the area in 2013. Federica was looking very pregnant and is due to have a baby daughter, Carlotta, on 12 August. I was up early to walk up to Piazzale Michelangelo to take some photos of Florence with the sun behind me. There was a lot of cars and motorbikes on the road but few tourists and the Ponte Vecchio was almost empty except for a few cars of the shop owners unloading stock. The view over Florence at this time of day is beautifully clear with the sun shining on the dome of the Cathedral and down the river toward Ponte Vecchio.
