      We took the fast train to Madrid today. It was three hours rather than eight hours on a bus. Nygil picked up empanadas for our lunch on the train. We also had an apple, chips and wine. This is my kind of tour! We got to Madrid at about 1:00 pm and got on a bus for the tour of the city. It is a pretty city with lots of wonderful old buildings.       ... so amazing didn't seem to notice. After leaving cable car you are able to go even higher on well formed mountain tracks. Walked for about an hour - reached the snow line- starting to get a bit chilly - then 2 guys skiied past on the track so decided it was time to return to catch last cable car of the day back down to our hotel.       ... We returned home later that evening after spending hours exploring the mountains and becoming quiet well acquainted with our fellow hikers and the many animals that shared our paths.
