... br> Last night we celebrated Hunter's (our 1 yr old Grandson) first Halloween. He made a cute Sully and although he didn't quite understand what was happening, he very much enjoyed his first DumDum sucker.
Today, we got the vaccinations we need for the trip to Thailand in January and tomorrow we have our final Family lunch until we get back into town in mid-December. We are going to miss these weekly get togethers.

... because the big stores are pulling out of the malls. I am not sure why. Maybe they are finding out if they open their own big box store the business is better than being in a mall atmosphere. It is a huge space in those malls that are sitting empty and the parking lots are really bare. We craved some wings for supper so we found a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant. ... oreos, fried twinkles, fried butter, fried everything. Amy enjoyed a corn dog, funnel cake, turkey leg, roasted corn on a cob, and topped it off with some spinning crazy amusement rides to keep the food down. We had a wonderful time and look forward to the Rodeo this weekend where Amy can witness a real live Cowboy. :-)
ONE WEEK TO GO!!! ...
I should be heading to the airport right now, but the Air France pilots' strike cancelled my flight to Paris, twice. Re-booking again, at best, would have caused me to fly into Kinshasa just to spend the night and leave the next morning....
So I plan to try again in November.

We spent the day paddling, resting while floating in the boats, picnicking, and lolly gagging in the water. It was a hot, sunny, and very beautiful day! We had a ball!
We love this lake. We plan to go here a lot more in the future.
