      ... washed out by recent landslides due to heavy rain, so there was a major detour inland and steeply uphill to a crossroads from where we could turn back to the coast and approach Sao S from the other direction – 2 hours & a change of bus later I arrived! We lit the rest of our fireworks and despite Lucas warning us to set a larger perimeter for one of the fireworks, we under estimated just how large it was and we had to quickly back up a bit to make more room. we definitely earned our spot on the beach with those fireworks (thank you so much Lucas).
