... toward Ancient Rome. Can't imagine what high season for tourists would be like because streets were packed in December. On our way, we walked past the Victor Emmanuel Monument, Trajan's Column, Augustus' Forum, THE Forum, until we reached the Colosseum which looked as dramatic in person as it does on tv and in books. Remarkably well preserved, we could wander throughout the three levels. P.S. restaurants by the colosseum ...

Underneath was about the special inner working of the big C, there were elevators to transport the gladiators and animals up , secret passage ways from training holds to the arena, natural spring for the water to flood the arena. There is no roof of course now, but back in the day it would of been pitch black and only small oil lamps to light the way. The opening 100 days of ...

... B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! For sure, one of my favorite monuments! So while we were taking in the sights, we had to take a photo shoot because that is was Julie and I do. (Work it, work it.... in a creepy accent. - Only Julie would get that lol)

Afterwards we wondered the streets aimlessly looking for a local restaurant. We shared a bottle of white wine and appetizers. What a perfect way to end an amazing time in Rome!I am truly blessed to be able to share this ...

... Rome thinking that this is all it has to offer.

So, that was today: disappointment. If you read back to my introduction, you must be wondering about Sébastien's First Communion?

Well, that's set for tomorrow. This morning I sent out an email to "Saint-Louis-des-Français-de-Rome" Parish asking if my son could be blessed with the sacrament of First Communion either today (7:00 PM) or tomorrow at the same time. At this point, ...
