We arrived at the Detroit Airport at about 6:30 pm, got checked in, and they gave me a hard time about getting my boarding pass for the Paris to Lyon leg. Combined with the creative and artistic output of Motown, this place was the city of dreams, where men had jobs for life, housing was cheap and everything was on the up.......now magnificent art deco buildings with tile facades stand boarded up and covered with graffiti, alongside empty office towers and warehouses. ... made it to our cabin! We were so excited to walk in. The place was beautiful. The photos really don't do the place justice. Very nicely decorated with leather recliner couches and deeply cushioned lounge chairs on the deck. 5 bedrooms on 3 levels meant we had plenty of room to spread out. And they they were pet friendly and welcomed Dim Sum ($30 pet fee).Check out the video we made when we first entered the cabin.
