It was a family business so while dining the owners had children playing in the restaurant. This I though was odd at first but as the evening went on the cute little 6 year old girl made us smile and we enjoyed interacting and dancing with her.

These children get to go on fabulous vacations, have cute outfits to wear at the beach and to the restaurant, hats and sunscreen are given to them and they have access to all the water and food they want. It is hard not to compare the lives of these kids with the kids we saw in Laos and in ...

After a flight into Bangkok, a drive and a speedboat transfer we arrived on this gorgeous island Koh Samet. It's within a national park and really is beautiful. It's a great place to relax with just 40 villas most with private pools and all really spacious. The staff are all lovely and the food is really good, lots of nice ...

... to visit (the beach, not the man). One lesson that we've learnt since being away is that sometimes the cheapest nights are the best nights. For £2 we enjoyed a takeaway dinner of Pad Thai and spicy soup on the beach, as the sea lapped against the shore. These are the things we will miss most about our travels, even if we did share the moment with a stray dog. Tata Ko Samet- see you around. ...
