... favorite was the Red Ginger. A Canadian / Thai restaurant rated #3 on Trip Advisor. There were 10 other English teachers while we were there also from Canada. Great food. It was a family business so while dining the owners had children playing in the restaurant. This I though was odd at first but as the evening went on the cute little 6 year old girl made us smile and we enjoyed interacting and dancing with her.

There he was - right there on the beach all this time. I had been walking past him without realising. Good job I found him near the end of my stay here or I would get so fat I would need more than one seat on the bus back to Bangkok. Mmmmm! heaven on a plate. Ha ha Bryan, I've got banana roti - you haven't! :-)
... constantly at the "beck and call" of two young children. All of the children we see at the resort on Koh Samet are privileged. These children get to go on fabulous vacations, have cute outfits to wear at the beach and to the restaurant, hats and sunscreen are given to them and they have access to all the water and food they want. After a flight into Bangkok, a drive and a speedboat transfer we arrived on this gorgeous island Koh Samet. It's within a national park and really is beautiful. ... to visit (the beach, not the man). One lesson that we've learnt since being away is that sometimes the cheapest nights are the best nights. For £2 we enjoyed a takeaway dinner of Pad Thai and spicy soup on the beach, as the sea lapped against the shore.
