... on the gangway to get on it literally kept becoming detached from the pier! Love Thai safety! They don't even really have luggage storage on the boat - the bags just go on the deck with tarpaulin over them. This boat was actually probably one of our worst journeys! The whole boat stank of fuel and gave us a headache. At one point we were talking to Mr Chow (aka a local hotel owner from Samui tryna sell us his hotel) and smoke started coming from the front ...

... Bangkok. It was one of our friend’s birthdays who is from Belgium, so sure enough we went to a Belgium bar. The area was very fancy and saw every type of expensive car possible. A BMW looked cheap to give you an idea of the amount of money in the area. The rest of the weekend we just relaxed and then headed back to Mahachai.

... to Ban Phe and I stand there feeling confused while Phidel gets a quote from a taxi driver to go to Rayong bus station, where we can then get a bus to Trat.
The driver quotes us hundreds of Baht and luckily Phidel is sharp enough to spot a bus filled with locals and we jump on. It is not so much a bus as a cargo truck with benches on but we are so glad to get the cheap fare and quick escape.
