... more attractive. We are back staying at a very cool hostel, my favourite so far in the downtown area of Bangkok which is home to some of the bigger hotel chains, international banks and businesses so we had a good mix of the more upscale Bangkok as well as being able to get the more down to earth. We have had spacious rooms inside the hostel and it is tucked away behind the main road in a green and leafy oasis in the urban jungle. The restaurant attached to our hostel ...

... lots of little villages and fields.

So, 8 3/4hr flight to Sydney which I amazingly slept quite a bit and then a bit of a wait in Sydney and eventually I got in to Adelaide about 2PM Friday - nearly 24 hours from Rayong to Adelaide!

This was a pretty short trip and obviously being a work trip, I didn't get to sightsee much, but I really did enjoy my trip and would love to go back and spend more time there. Oh well, there is another destination to plan for.....

... Vanessa and I both having a fag to calm down. I don't think I've ever been that scared... I actually felt my stomach twisting.

To top things off, he'd dropped us away from where we needed to be, and on closer inspection, we realised the road further up had been closed with police vans... Vanessa asked a local Thai what was going on; 'bomb threat' came the guy's simple reply. GREAT. I'd just almost died, and now I'd been dropped off by a bomb. Frigging PERFECT.
