After a couple of days of tubing we realised our livers aren't as sturdy as they were when we were 19, plus we wanted a chance to relax and top up our tans before heading home, so we started our journey back to Thailand. A bus, two trains, a taxi, another bus, a boat and 28 hours later, we arrived in Koh Samet - a beautiful little island which benefits from its ...

... our bed! We leave the windows open at night so we can hear the waves rushing in. Jealous yet? ha ha! Some areas of Koh Samet can get quite busy but where we are is very chilled and laid back. It is called Candle Light beach and it was exactly what we were looking for.

After so much time on the road it was a real luxury to be able to spend a whole week on this gorgeous beach with powdery white sand ...
