So after dumping all our cold weather clothes in Chengdu, we arrived in an icy Shanghai for Christmas. We ended up staying 10 days in Shanghai, the longest we've stayed anywhere. We stayed in a "fancy" hotel (2 bedroom place, $85/night) for 3 nights, then moved over to a one star-ish/Motel 6-like place for about $35/night for the rest of our stay.
