We saw the penguins for 2 hours, got back on a bus to Trelew, picked up our bags which I left at a hostel somewhere and then I got on a bus at 9pm for Buenos Aires - another 24 hours of busses! You know if it arives on time out of the past 60 hours I will have been on a bus of some kind for 55 of them!

... but she was weak and wobbly for awhile from the anesthetic. While we waited for Gillie, Eve went in for a wheel alignment, and both girls were set to go by midday. We replenished food supplies and back to the Patagonia campground where we stayed for a few more days to let gillie recover. From there we went back to Gaiman for a couple more days before taking the long trip across country to the mountains. Gillie continues to recover slowly.

... these guys were so lazy they were not doing anything, far less of them but still about 30 - 40 of them on the beach. From what we could see, there was only 1 male, these guys are 9 times heavier than a male sea lion, so they are about 4 tonnes !! ... that we were going to an indoor museum and its quite hard work walking in the afternoon heat. However the landscape of rocks looks prehistoric and it is an interesting way to present fossils from different eras amongst the layers of rocks. There are armadillos and dolphin bones displayed in glass pyramids. I am most impressed by the 1 meter thick layer of giant oyster shells. The shells weigh more than 1 kg and are larger than my hand.
