If you pay close attention to the locations these posts are tagged in, you might notice that Osorno is not in Argentina. Pointing that out just now ruined the hint of irony that would have run through this whole post, but that's okay.

... up in a couple of days some items might need to be purchased - JB's boots are currently border line waterproof and the fix of taping cut up inner tube round his foot will only work for so long ! Pucon itself is a nice little town with loads of wooden framed houses and shops so it has the feel of a swiss ski resort. Lots of shops selling expensive gear like Arc'teryx, souvenir shops, restaurants, cafes etc. Some people don't like the touristy type places but as long as we can get ...
