Then like the majority of gold rush prospectors we found our hopes dashed upon discovering that the Broken Boot Goldmine was closed for the season and we couldn't take the tour or go panning. With heavy hearts we left the black hills and headed west into Wyoming.

Next stop was Devils Tower Wyoming, Americas 1st national monument and favorite UFO landing spot. We took some pictures but missed out on any close ...

... home of the Wyoming State Prison, by the way.) Tomorrow we plan to drive about 650 miles to a RV Park in Nebraska City, NE where the high temp. for the day is forecast to be 101! Quote of the day-- Ron: "We raise 'em tough in Jersey." He said this to the kayakers at the lake who were amazed that Serena and Clara were swimming when it was so cool out. Wild animals we saw today: Deer and antelope. They were roaming. ;-) No moose sightings for me this ...
