    ... Siobhan burst into tears and I too felt a bit emotional. Brian and Mandy had been so generous, friendly and entertaining over the last few weeks and for me - coming having met them only once before - I am eternally grateful for all they have done for me, for us.     My visit to the Cuban Consulate was a bit of a disappointment. I took the train into town, walked down to the address only to find a sign, that the consolate has not been here since more than two years.

    It seems the internet is not always up to date. :-( A Call to the Cuban Embassy in Canberra confirmed my fears that I would have to come down to them to obtain a visa. This was not on my schedule and I only had 7 days left until I had to take a flight from Melbourne ...

    ... UK to travel and work in Australia, living in Sydney since May 2014), we could not stop nattering away... So much so that on New Year's Eve, we'd made a plan to get together some picnic stuff and alcohol and head down early, around 6pm, to Sydney Harbour Bridge to nab a good spot for the fireworks.
