Yesterday we drove down to Laverstoke Mill which is now the Bombay Sapphire Distillery. We had watched a Megafactories documentary on the restoration of the mill and loved getting to see it and to learn about making the gin. After enjoying our riding hack so much on Friday, today Craig, Aaron and Chloe had a riding lesson at the same stables. ... from view by tall reeds. It is a very pleasant and safe place to moor as the exit to the road is via a locked gate. There is a railway line that runs nearby but trains are very infrequent and don't really intrude. There is 48 hour free mooring here with an accessible water point.

... use the side pounds to save water, but the first one was empty, so we couldn’t part fill the lock from it. We had to fill the entire lock from the canal. We put some water back into the side pound as we emptied the lock. The second lock side pound is out of action, but we used the third one properly.
