The great thing about winter in UK is that , at some time each day, you get warm! Woke to see sun but thick frost on the Boomer windows, in a lovely warm house. Another chance to look at "The Family Tree"over brekkie. Then set off for Stourbridge, where John had arranged to buy a new air compressor. Duly fitted new compressor. ... from view by tall reeds. It is a very pleasant and safe place to moor as the exit to the road is via a locked gate. There is a railway line that runs nearby but trains are very infrequent and don't really intrude. There is 48 hour free mooring here with an accessible water point.

... use the side pounds to save water, but the first one was empty, so we couldn’t part fill the lock from it. We had to fill the entire lock from the canal. We put some water back into the side pound as we emptied the lock. The second lock side pound is out of action, but we used the third one properly.
