... Off we went into town via the ship’s shuttle bus. Our main cultural event was the National Gallery of Ireland, a large modern building with a very unassuming entrance, lots of interior space but only a few galleries. However these contained a comprehensive collection of European and Irish art but not too much so the whole gallery can be done in an hour.

The special only worked if before the ticket counter two people (Kev and Tom) got out of the car and waited for Erin to drive in, pay for 1 and park. Day 8 - Dublin - full circle

... we have listened to Molly Malone more times than we care to think about and eaten more than we should have done. Dawn also drank far more Guinness than she should have done but says she could still drink a lot more!

If you ever visit Dublin you must stop at Gogartys in Temple Bar for the best Irish Stew and live music around (the beef sandwiches aren't bad either).

Now it's back home on this evenings flight.

Tuesday night I went to O'Neills with a girl I met from the states for some Irish music and a drink. There was a really good band playing, all traditional Irish music.. Until the guitar player started singing Hit Me Baby One More Time.... I don't think you can properly imagine how hilarious this was - his voice was crazy gravelly - but it was amazing.
