We drove west through Wicklow County which is very pastoral and rural... all farms and a huge national park. We visited Glendalough first which was a monastic city in the 600s and is still a site of religious significance for Irish Catholics. We actually were here last visit but it was worth a revisit. ... cheese, beetroot & tomato salad dressed in roquette leaves and balsamic reduction. *This dish is a perfect compliment to the breadbasket that comes complimentary with every table. The servers are very kind and would be more than happy to bring more if you are a cheese spreader, like myself.

The most memorable site for us was also the newest: the Spire. This was a giant metal tower constructed for the new millennium for a cost of €4 million. ... crowded which makes it really difficult for Dan to get around. I think I have heard about three authentic accents...is anyone from here? We went to the Temple Bar area for some shopping and dinner. Once again, way too crowded. We did have a lovely Bailey's ice cream. Now, back in the hotel room.
