      ... yard. When we were all finally hungry we walked back into town to Hotel Gasthaus Brau for supper. We had an appetizer called Schlutzkrapferl which was like potstickers stuffed with cottage cheese and spinach and covered with butter. Larry had goulash, Erin had the Brauhauspfand'l, Derek had Weinerschnitzle and I had the Grostl. We walked back in the dark and spent the evening listening to Austrian music, and blogging etc.

      ... Maximillian was never buried there because he was deeply in debt when he died. We also visited the Silver Chapel. There is also the tomb of Andreas Hofer a popular Tirolean soldier who fought against Napolean.

      ... a bit out of the way for getting to Salzburg but many pretty scenes, houses and mountains were evident on the road there. This little town is very pretty indeed – high, snowy mountains and a great big lake. Plenty of pretty little houses also.       The rain finally stopped and we walked to the Spar Grocery Store and got lots of beer, OJ, meat, cheese, bread, mayo and mustard in tubes and some chips. When we got back we had lunch and by then the rain had stopped and we could see some sunshine.
