This is the Life
Hey everyone! Today, a lovely girl called Alex came down to spend the day with me at the beach. She's the sister of a guy that's mum works with, and is on a stopover from New Zealand where she's lived for 4 years to England to visit her family. We went down to the beach about 11:30, met with Alex's cousin, her husband and their kids. The beach was …
Arrived at Hilton Hotel, Ras Al Khaimah
Even though we arrived late, around 22:30 hrs, there were absolutely no problems with checking in. We'd taken the option of guaranteeing the room with the c/c and this worked fine. Our details were already registered and it was a simple matter of swiping the c/c and being given the key to the room. The hotel was up to the usual Hilton standards (photos to come later).

Historical Traveler Reviews Hilton Ras Al Khaimah
Service, place and stay are Excellent!!
We booked a stay in that hotel directly [--]
We were three, me, my wife and our 14-month-old daughter.
It was really great holidays, two weeks of sun, beach and perfect service.
Every thing in the hotel was perfectly clean, we had a small problem with the floor of the bathroom, but this was solved the same day, and additionally, we got free hilton bath slippers :-)
Service in the hotel, at the reception etc is perfect and friendly and very helpful. Any problem is solved immediately.
Breakfast buffet is really perfect, you can get every thing you may expect, every thing is fresh, good service.
Beach club is approx 10 min by bus, but free transfer works perfect. Beach is perfectly clean, wonderful little bay, only for Hilton guests, excellent food, good prices and perfect service everywhere. They had some small problem with cups at the beach bar, when we came in the afternoon to get I Cappucino, no cups available, we had to wait for approx 10 Minutes, but got it served to our place at the beach and we had it three times for free :-)
Builing area beside the beach, but not disturbing much (Hilton is building new resort).
They do really everything to make you feel good.
All inclusive is not worth, breakfast is so good, you don't need lunch, evenings we ate at Mana Mall (free shuttle or 15 Min walk) cheap and good, other prices in Hilton are ok.
Shopping in Manat Mall is great, free shuttle service to Dubai three times a week, good shopping there too possible.
Be aware of the Hertz rental station in the hotel, manager is seldomly there, not at the shown hours, never on Fridays, if possible book car via Internet, is cheaper.
We will return for sure!
Excellent and scrupulously clean
Upto 3 weeks before we travelled to UAE, we had planned to go to Mexico, sadly it was cancelled due tothe Hurricanes, after seeing on Teletext Value added Travel a good deal for Dubai at the Hilton in Ras al Khaimah we were curious having always wanted to go but a little wary we spoke to Bobby at Value Added Travel, he persuaded us as to where to go and about the Hotel, He was not Wrong, it was a wonderful location, friendly, polite helpful staff, clean and large room, and the food was excellent, and really good value for money, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, although there is a lot of building every where you turn it did not affect this location,
We felt safe at all times and wandered around in the evenings in the shopping mall and downt town quite relaxed,
A truly wonderful experience.
Thankyou to the Hilton.
Excellent Hotel
i stayed at this hotel over the summer holiday, and booked with a company named value added travel, great service from the tour oporator, gave me a holiday i will never forget. the hotel is excellent and i compare it to hotels on jumeriah beach like the royal meridien and the al qasr. the beach club was jsut excellent, pure relaxation for me and lots for the kids to do in the beach club.
Great Place!!
I booked my holiday with VALUE ADDED TRAVEL. The hilton was excellent. Me and my partner went with an all inclusive basis which i can say i got for excellent value. Their private beach was only situated a few minutes away in which a mini bus is always there to take you back and forth from the hotel. The private beach was fantastic, can't wait to go back next year.
Great service
The hotel staff could not do enough to help, the food was good and not to badly priced. The wine is expensive and not very good quaility! we stayed B+B and found the local Manor Mall great for cheap, good quality food and only 5 dirhams in a taxi.
Beach club is fantastic and always very clean as is the rest of the resort.
would not recommend going all inclusive as it works out more expensive than paying your way.
Tours from the hotel offer great value for money, however we went on the desert tour with the larger company (think it was desert adventures, the guy we booked with was called Rammie) the service was very impersonal, no water provided, and the sand board we paid 50 Dirhams to hire was broken!! Much better to go with the smaller company who have a desk beside the lifts, as i could not fault them.
the free bus service to Dubai provided by the hotel is well worth it, just remember to get haggeling for that Gold/platinum (ooooohhh sooo cheap!!)
A great place for relaxation !!
Stayed here for long weekend during tour of the Emirates which included Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Don't expect too much from Ras Al Khaimah when compared to Dubai, though there is the Shopping Mall, Ten pin bowling alley and new 18 hole floodlit golf course with 'state of the art' GPRS buggies!!
The hotel itself is a typical 4* but the management have no pretentions for it to be anything else. The rooms are comfortable though the bathrooms could do with modernising, something that is currently being reviewed. The food and service in the buffet restaurant for breakfast was fine, whilst the dinners at the 'hoof and fin' were excellent and great value. There is a small but well equipped gym available. The level of service throughout the hotel and the beach club was of a high standard. It's worthwhile knowing that the Hilton is also responsible for catering at the Golf Club, we had another excellent meal at the Marco Polo restaurant in the clubhouse.
Finally leaving the best until last was the beachclub, frequent shuttle service available, excellent pools, plenty of sun loungers both around pools and on beach, great food, watersports available including deep sea fishing.
Although the hotel had a high occupancy level during our stay it never felt busy compared to our experience at other hotels in UAE and Europe. Overall a really relaxing time was had and were dissapointed to leave so soon
FANTASTIC HOTEL
first time visit to RAK,as previously visited dubai.
for a peaceful and relaxing trip rather than the building works of dubai a
trip to RAK is well worth it.
the hilton was a excellant hotel although it looked a bit worn from the outside.
staff a credit to the hotel but the real bonus was the hilton beach club.a few minutes ride in the hotel shuttle bus led to this fantastic private beach club which also had 3 pools and 2 beach bars.
food here was excellant and again the staff were excellant.
we took the AI package and found it to be well worth the money.
would definately visit again.
Good Value Break
Thank you to those members who gave me information prior to my trip on June 30th, 2005.
The hotel does equate to a good standard 4 star.
The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is of a good standard. The Beach Club is excellent. The hotel pool is comfortable and convenient and also has good facilities, however the pool side service at the 'Aqua' bar was non existent. Not too good when you are desperate for a bottle of cold water in temperatures of 50 plus degrees!
We thought that reception looked a bit 'shabby' when we arrived and the service, whilst friendly, was pretty brisk. This contrasts the swift and friendly service elsewhere.
The all inclusive package was superb; wonderful lunchtime meals at the Beach Club. I would recommend using your 50 Dirham credit in the 'Hoof and Fin' restaurant where the food was 5 star. We ate there 3 out of 7 nights and spent £20 between us! The buffet in the main restaurant is good if you are in to volume! but for quality try the restaurant's fish and steak (Brazilian). You can use your all inclusive option to have drinks in the 'Hoof and Fin'.
Whilst there, a new highway was opened to Dubai, cutting the journey time down from 1 & 1/2 hrs to 45 minutes (watch out for the baby camels!).
Have enclosed photos of hotel view so that you know what to expect. However, I would stress that the lack of beautiful surroundings and a range of things to do, should not in anyway detract from the ample relaxation, peace and quiet and pretty setting of the Beach Club.
A week was enough, you trade the peace at this time of year for boiling temperatures. But if you are happy to read in the shade and go for the odd swim, its no problem.
Get in there quickly, they are about to build and double their guest volume!
Our recommendation - we'd go again (a rare commendation!)
Excellent for a relaxing holiday
Just returned from a week All Inclusive at this hotel and couldn't fault it. Wouldn't say it was a 5 star but definitely a 4 star. Food was fantastic with lots of choices and people were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotless and towels/linen changed when you wanted it. Pool towels were supplied free next to the pool plus the beach club. The beach club was only 7 minutes away by free shuttle and well worth a visit. There are 2 swimming pools and a kiddies pool plus the long stretch of beach which had about a 150 sunloungers on it but only about 10 people - so you feel as if the beach is yours! Food here was first class and there is a bbq on Fridays. Beach has a bar which opened about 11am. Very disappointed that there was no snorkelling after everyone raved about it but we did see a turtle and there were a few blue jellyfish (not harmful). They offer a shuttle coach to Dubai which took 1.5 hours to get there but 3.5 to get back!! You did get 6 hours in Dubai - long day but for free couldn't complain. Use the hotel for trips as they were cheaper and better value than Holiday Rep - you could barter a bit with them aswell. They offered a discount if you booked 2 trips anyway.
Beach club is lovely.
We stayed at this hotel in November 2004. The hotel is more 4 star than 5. and once you shut your door you could be in any Hilton in the world. Dont expect any great views from the hotel. You can look out on the creek but get a Water works as well. We got a good deal on our holiday from The Travel Collection and the hotel was well worth the money we spent. We were all inclusive and the food was lovely, lots of selection each night. The bar was nice was a good live band each night and the staff in the bar were really nice. What makes this hotel worth a visit is the beach club. This is reached by a 5 minute bus ride from the hotel. We would get the 9.00 bus each morning and be the first on the beach whch was lovely as it is a private beach so no one else was there. The beachclub started to get busier between 11 and 12.00 but there are lots of sunbeds and umbrellas so you would always get one. The swimming pools are really nice and clean and the Rio cafe does nice food although the flies can be a pain. If you look at the internet pictures of this beach club they do not do it any justice. The beach has plenty of room and lots of water sports. The sea is warm and nice and calm. The hotel provide shuttle buses into Dubia. When we went there was lots of building work going on and the journey took 2 hours and we didnt think much of Dubia. Nearer the hotel (10 mins.walk)there is a small shopping centre worth a visit if you want to get cheap sports stuff . There isnt a lot to do/see but we hired a taxi for 3 hours one morning to take us on a tour.(hotel arranged this) He took us to the fishmarket, museum and then into the mountians. Nice trip and well worth the £15 taxi fare. All in all if you get a good deal on this hotel it is well worth it.
