Rolling with the big boys....waves that is
I have just returned from the last diving trip of the 2010-2011 season aboard manta queen 1. I am happy to be alive and that is not hyperbole or overstatement. When we left on the night of the 5th we had the weather report in hand and we knew that the 3rd day of the 4 day trip was going to be rough because there were 3 meter waves forecast for the similan islands. 3 meters is a big deal for a dive boat and for the divers who jump into the water. This unpredictable and strong current that pops up randomly in the area is “The Green Monster” and ...
Internet was down but the Reefball is UP!
Internet has been down for a few days now and I'm doing catch up blogging because so much has happened!!!
We started a reefball project about 5 days ago, initially brainstorming on ideas how to actually make one work, then sourcing for the materials, onsite designing, building and WAHLA! We finished one and it's sitting in the yard drying out the cement at the moment.
This is why I like the Wicked program so much - who would provide us an opportunity ...
