... open all day in the city. Instead, we were treated to a huge food market in the afternoon, with many murtabak stalls and all sorts of other specialities.

Interestingly the locals all gathered in the playing field in front of the mosque just before sunset, with their food purchases, awaiting the time to tuck in and eat together... it was quite a sight.

Should I return another time and give this place another chance maybe?

... that the buses had stopped for the night we head back to find out just in case. They were right… the last bus had gone at half 6 which we could have caught if we had come straight to the right place! Another taxi man offered to drive us this time for 55RM (11) but we decided we would save the money and stay in town. It did mean that we could treat ourselves to a cheeky pizza hut after the last two weeks of rice dishes.

It is mind boggling how such a huge statue had come up such an elevated cave, when the stairways had only existed around 48 years ago. ...
