      ... young lady Tapir this fellow gets attracted to. So after dinner we decided to go on a night safari. With promises of seeing panthers and all our legs hurting, sitting on the back of a pick up truck and shining a bright light at trees seemed a great idea. We saw literally nothing.       ... but the confusion at turning up at another bus station and having to work out where we were, meant the plans for the following day completely slipped my mind... grrr!

      In fact, if it had not been for this, we would have headed back here and onto Cherating for a day or two after Tioman, as there is a turtle sanctuary located there which I really wanted to visit.

      On a positive note, due to it being Ramadan, no food ...

      ... on food each day as we don't want to get any more out (That and there aren't ATMs in cherating) were allowed 15ringgit for breakfast, lunch and dinner, easily accomplished when breakfast is about 3 and dinners are around 5. 15 ringgit is 3 btw. Totes amaze.

      ... this town. Then we headed to the local bus station across town where we could catch the local bus to Cherating. Arriving where the lonely planet described it to be we couldn’t find sign of a bus station anywhere and a couple of taxi drivers told us it had moved next to the long distance one where we had just come from!
