Today we had an easy morning, it included walking to an old farm and going through the buildings while escaping wasp nests and trying not to get eaten alive by mosquitoes. Today I drove one of the cars a couple of hours inland to Joutsa where Paivi's parents have a Summer Cottage, Paivi's Dad built two previous cottages and sold them, this is his third and final one. It's a 1 acre section covered in trees by the lake, first he built a small one bedroom cottage which they (Paivi's parents are staying), then he added a another one with a mezzanine floor and attached a Sauna which is very traditional here in Finland (this is where we ...
2nd October 2012. Managed to change my seat from the middle seat to the aisle seat when flying from Heathrow to Helsinki and on flight from Helsinki to Kajaani was in a window seat which was great. After arrival in Kajaani there was a taxi which brought me to Hotel Kalevala where I had a late dinner - I had been travelling all day (or at least sitting in airports all day).

... meatballs for the dogs at 4.30. Feed at about 5.30. Should be finished around 7pm depending on how many people are helping feed.
7.30pm- go into farm house while the boss debriefs us on all the things we've done wrong for the day (tough boss) and choose which dogs we want to take home. Every night we take about 3-4 dogs home to help with their socialisation.
