The skies were so ugly today, and cold. We rode to McDonalds in Alva to get breakfast and re-route from the scary road. While sitting there we met Harold and Iva Gates. They were so cute and helpful. ... many. I found out that Oil and Gas are Oklahoma's largest natural resource followed by waster which Texas is trying to get via the Supreme Court. I've also seen more horses and cattle than I have in my lifetime. Apart from the horse ranches it seems that most county people have at least a couple of horses. This is Cowboy country and it does not disappoint.
Tomorrow off to Colorado. The State I want to explore this year.
