    ... out of the lock and I checked the weed hatch. Sure enough, there was a plastic bag around the prop. A couple of minutes later it was sorted and we were on our way again.

    We stopped for lunch and as we started off afterwards for the next lock, the engine tone changed and we lost power. A sure sign of the prop fouling again. This time, it was a plastic bottle and a jumper with a metal zip in it and the jumper was wrapped very tightly round the prop. ...

    2 days to go!
    Paul reckons he is all packed. Ian and myself have got our stuff ready to be packed.
    Early start on Tuesday morning will see us meeting for a cooked breakfast at a Bistro in Chadsmoor (Cafe really), so we will be looking for somewhere we can see the bikes!
    The weather these last few days has been very sunny and warm. Let's just hope it continues on into next week and ...

    We had looked at things to do and the weather was changeable. I had seen something about Denby pottery and when I mentioned that all thought it was a great idea. Pip had taken the day off too. Denby has been making pottery near Derby for over 200 years. As well as the factory they have a group of shops around there and also "Pottery Beach" - an overgrown sandpit for kids to play in.     ... than a few minutes it felt like loosing a hand or something. He headed towards the underground, glimpsing the last of his face through the lift doors, we turned and headed for the carpark.

    Up the motorway, before arriving at the familiar roads, turning into a particularly familiar one, the garden, mum, hugs, the squealing barking wriggling dog, the smells, the house, home.
