... to our motel and bidding Ralph Naduka farewell for the night.

Sabbath services were held at noon at the rented hall in Benin. There were 21 people present. As you can see from the congregational picture, the majority of this congregation is made up of young people. There was a happy buzz of activity in the room as we greeted one another. I was grateful to be reunited with the brethren whom I had formed ...

Monday was a relaxing day as we were able to catch up on some well deserved a d needed sleep, followup in the morning after breakfast with emails, with Mark catching up on some work and Paul updating his travel blog. I and Yemisi also took the time to have some interesting discussion on the work in *****ia and the brethren in various places we plan to visit. We had a good and smooth ride from Lagos to Benin save for a brief traffic less than 90min to Benin. We left Lagos by 7:02am and entered Benin by 12:45pm and was checked in to our Hotel before 2pm. We had a brief rest and headed to the church hall for a Bible Study with the brethren. There were 18 in attendance total, including all four of us from Lagos.

9:45am: Leaving Lagos after a huge breakfast (first time I've seen bacon, cheese and milk, proper milk anyway since leaving Europe!). In good spirits even though it had been bucketing down since 1am and still drizzling! The good spirits quickly faded, we're on the way to Benin city, ideally to by pass and stay in a " town before we go to Calabar. Distance 322km, expected arrival time 2pm. Its a bank holiday in *****ia so we're hoping the traffic ...
