    ... sold everything except wellies and the trendy young salesman was very sniffy when I asked for them. I had the same experience everywhere I looked. Shops in the Lake District clearly think that anyone who wears wellies to walk in is definitely a second class citizen. I don't know where the farmers go for their wellies but eventually I gave up and I now struggle to put on my walking boots even for the smallest walk into the countryside.
