    ... even rudimentary, and the only mingling with upper crusts that will be going on is the raiding of the local bakers for the cheap stale bread from yesterday that is being sold off cheap.

    Wow! Only 2 weeks before we leave. Thought it might be good time to start posting the preparations. Actually over dinner tonight at Keswick Binny suggested it so these are especially for you Binny! We maybe away for 6.5 weeks but the actual preparations have been going on now for about 6 months!
    So we have a file full of info and booking details etc.....as you would expect there are many, many lists which will be required over the coming days and weeks! ...

    ... stone circle just out of Orton, and another significant prehistoric site along the way. Lots more sheep and even more droppings to cushion each step! We got into Kirkby Stephen at 3.30pm and quickly found our guest house. Our host showed us to our room, told us to shower then come down to the lounge for freshly baked scones and tea. That has been the highlight of today. ...
