    Very glad to get off the plane in Abu Dhabi. Very warm given that it is just after midnight. Checked into the hotel after getting through customs and a 30min trip from the airport to the hotel.     Quite rough overnight. AD very different to previous ports, lovely balmy temperature and modern buildings roads no too busy. Tok shuttle to shopping Mall in morning to get Buscopan for mum. Then returned to ship for afternoon tour to a different huge and upmarket Mall, scenic drive and finally a cruise along the Corniche in a wooden Dhow with refreshments. All quite low key but enjoyable. Tonight we sail at midnight to arrive in Dubai on Saturday ...

    ... and very refreshing after paddling. On excursions you meet the most interesting people from all parts of the world. We met two teenage boys and their 'really cool' father.....an engineering designer who travels the world now as an executive for LEGO!! Awesome for these two Nanas who like to build with their grandsons!
    Crockpot stew was most welcome on our arrival back at Diana's. Diana and teaching colleagues Naomi and Sabrina joined us for dinner.
