Another decent night at Collioure, dry and warm. Then a drive around and a look-see! Found the route to the fort on the cliff and one could stopover there, gratuit. Drove around a little and found one could also park at the 'gare' dans la centre Ville de Collioure, so we will, later after shopping and ...

... satisfaction. It’s all real, in many ways it is as tough but not as hard as climbing Everest. But just like mountains, the memory of suffering fades and only the beauty, satisfaction and pride remain. There are many more mountains out there. So I will go back. ... a couple of times as they had wifi, (unfortunatley this was another thing that didn't work in the apartment). We had a chat with a couple from Tasmania, who own a house near Collioure and come to stay twice a year. Then an elderly gentleman asked to sit near us and struck up a conversation. He was 83, had been a widower for 8 years, and used to be a physiotherapist. Last dinner on the balcony, with the last glass of my champagne, and some candles ...

To say the last few days have been a cornucopia of new sights and sounds would be exactly right. We leave the apt. in the morning and return late into the evening. Our eyes are filled with color and motion, ears are numbed by the cacophony of noises. The first I love; the second, I can get to be overwhelming. Traffic , people and construction all make for a hugely noisy place. If Barcelona is loud, it is also beautiful and varied. It is truly ...
