... stop at Walmart, then back "home". Bob has divided the box of Hatch Chile Peppers into 11 bags and I'm writing this and doing one last load of clothes. After dinner, we'll start packing up so we can pull out of here about 9 tomorrow morning heading back into the heat, tomorrow night back in Fort Stockton, TX. It's been a good almost 2 weeks, for the most part the weather has been good and we have seen some beautiful parts of God's creation. ...

... amp; Linda are leaving early tomorrow morning so we went out to dinner tonight. We went to a very nice Italian restaurant. This was the largest of several Hispanic villages situated in the heart of Mescalero Apache country. In 1855 Fort Stanton (which we have already visited and I wrote about) was built nearby (about 13 miles). Not sure when it became Lincoln, but the town today is as it was in the 1880s. Lincoln lost it's county seat status in 1910 when Carrizozo ...

... and down the street. But it is a very nice course. I shot a 71 on the front 9 and 69 on the back. Bob was shot 113 for all 18. Linda hasn't played much, so she decided to not play the back 9. The pictures of the deer are on the course. The large herd were just sitting by the cart path along hole 17. The noise we made didn't bother them at all. The others, I really had to use the zoom to get pictures. We've played where ...
