... really nice beers to sample. Nadia found a delicious apple pie liquor, some peach moonshine that could have launched the space shuttle and even a very nice grapefruit beer which she enjoyed. We both also enjoyed a very nice cider.
While the band was finishing up we decided to head home before the mass exodus and there was a surprising lack of stumbling! Like I said it was a nice evening, despite the BBQ aspect being a little bit ...

We drove from Columbia toward Cary today, spending most of the day in the car.

On to Montgomery, AL and then Tues. June 2nd we were in Aiken, SC where we visited our dear "old" friends Bob & Bonnie Nowak. Always so nice to spend time with them - sharing news of families & friends. Weather was a little threatening, so decided to forgo a day of golf, and we headed for home a day early!

... When i arrived, my new host Michelle picked me up and took me to her place. She's a college sorority girl who just wanted to party, so that's exactly what we did. She made us pizza and we did shots before going to town.

She took me to a plaza downtown where there was a bluegrass/folk music festival where we had a beer and danced around like southerners. Or at least I danced how i thought dancing to that sort ...
