Brrrr......kalt! Einen Stopp legten wir am Cape ...
... at dusk and greatly enjoyed the rural (if somewhat run down) countryside.
We shared the B&B with a couple from Ontario - had flown to Moncton NB and were returning home via train the next day from Moncton. Big fans of train travel, they have made many trips by rail across this country over the years.
Following our walk, we spent a quiet evening reading in our musty, crooked little B&B and despite a few misgivings, are happy to report it was ghost-free!
... another rental car just did not seem all that appealing so we chose to pay the drop-off fee and the bridge toll and keep our little red Dodge an extra day.
Had another delicious breakfast, packed up and drove across the Confederation Bridge and on to Amherst where we had lunch at the most popular joint in town - Tim Horton’s. Took a few pics and carried on to Moncton.

The weather is wet and dreary but our experience is exciting and invigorating! Cape Enrage gave us an afternoon and evening of changing skies and gave us great opportunities for memorable photos.
It was awesome to walk on the ocean floor and feel the vastness of the rock formation. Tides the height of a four store building rush through this Point. This definitely one of the great Marine Wonders of the World.
Home! Made it home! Had a long flight but it was okay! I must say i was shocked to realize that things here are in bloom yet! Its spring in Europe already! But oh well, as someone said to me, I just get to see it all over again! True enough! I was very happy to sleep in my own bed last night!! YAY i missed my bed!! Ha ha and i missed Milk!! They have excellent ice cream ...
Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada taramarika... We left the park later than planned and headed towards Truro and stopped in Amherst NS for supper. One of the rare treats for the kids where we'll stop for fast food. We ate at A&W and they actually served the root beer in real glass mugs and they pulled them out of the FREEZER! There is nothing better than root beer in a frosty mug. We headed back on the road and decided around 7pm that we weren't going to make Truro unless we really moseyed so we ...
Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada sireneSpent the morning doing the tourist thing - went to an Acadian museum, visitors' centre, etc. The most eventful part of today was a short afternoon drive from Moncton to Hopewell Rocks, which is in (on? near?) the Bay of Fundy, the site of the highest tides in the world. It was actually quite a hike to get from the visitors' centre to the flowerpot rock formations, but definitely worth it to see ...
Hopewell Cape, New Brunswick, Canada dianaleemiller... are currently cutting down their staff and encouraging self check-in, I suppose it might also have been reasonable to expect that the check-in lines might have been long. They weren't. So, we were at the departure gate within about 20 minutes of arriving at the airport, and had over 2h to wait. But, as my mother said, better to be laughing at how early you are than crying because you missed your flight. Got into ...
Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada dianaleemiller... near impossible to get a half-decent picture. The park itself was very clean and well organized. My regret is that we wanted to do some kayaking there, but we arrived at the wrong time to do it. I would have preferred the kayaking to walking the ocean floor with a lot of other people. Mind you, Lil did find a pretty cool fossil there (and without her glasses too!!!). The second night we stopped by a nice little tobacco store that sold bongs of every size ...
