We saw on the news this morning how bad the forest fires are. A fire burnt down a town yesterday. Also there is flash flooding in Utah! Glad we were not camping in Utah now - or driving. Also heard about the sniper shooting at cars in Arizona, so glad to be taking a different route - good to know!!! Apparently today we are on a typical American road trip. ... the meantime, I was rewiring my boat trailer because the drag melted it all off. This guy charges me $50 (I gave him more) and sent me on my way. So, it took from noon to 5:00 pm to get all this accomplished and get back on the road. I'm hot, tired, frustrated, thankful, and at this point feeling very blessed. We landed after 5 PM in Wichita Falls, TX, had a late dinner and will be off to bed soon. Tomorrow we have another long day and will leave early in hopes to be able to do a little sightseeing through the eastern side of Texas and down through Louisiana.
