... ago. Next on the notable town list was Marceline, Mo which was the boyhood home of Walt Disney. The house still stands and is occupied by a farm family who chooses not to allow any access. Then the small town of Laclede, Mo which was the boyhood home of General John Pershing. Second stop was in Chillicothe, MO we gassed up, snacked up, and got back on the road. We're hitting the road today from Kansas to Colorado for day 4 of straight highway driving. Our campsite in the middle of the woods in Ohio was beautiful but very remote. We are back on the road now and have about 30 minutes until we get to the hotel.
Leaving St. Louis mid-afternoon we drove the entire state of Missouri and stopped 125 miles into Kansas at Junction City for the night. Nearby was Fort Riley army base (but we were pooped after driving so we didn't see it!). The town was very ...
