    We went back to the car for a change of footwear before heading off along the Cleveland Way south along the coast. This walk is very spectacular and has great views of the countryside, sea and coast line.     ... of surface quality. The road was well potholed and had a few drops on either side but after a mile or so we reached a junction with a more major road which was nearly wide enough to have white paint down the middle.
    We reached the Abbey safely, dropped off our walking gear and headed off to the main entrance to enjoy a cream tea at the cafe. This was a great treat at the end of our active day.

    ... Hall. This pretty much sums up the attitude of our cricket team. We are supposed to meet at the ground at 11:15 for a 12:30 start. We had 8 people there by 11:30 which wasn't to bad except Whitley Hall had all their players there and had started warming up by this time.     ... off I went, sadly the wrong way. By the time I'd climbed the hill opposite, I was worn out and a bit lost. Checking my map I think I took the wrong bridge, but was too tired to backtrack, so just got back down the hill & took a cab back to my hotel.
    Still sick of touts I headed off to a south Indian restaurant for a masala dossa, followed by gulab jamun (a rice flour sweet) with 2 drinks it cost less than 2, & was the best meal ...
