    V8Buick Forum

A travel blog entry by stephenshortt on Jan 23, 2015

When I purchased my 1976 Buick Electra I decided to join a Buick Forum or two as I had no knowledge of Buick apart from the fact that it was a GM brand and next in line to Cadillac.

Well, what a good decision that has been on my part - the V8Buick forum guys have been very, very welcoming and hospitable, and interested in my journey. Not only did I get to spend some excellent time with Gary in Ohio going through the process ...

Not too bad as this was all completed by lunch when we went to Peco Bill's for nourishment. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. Nancy and Courtney both opted for the Southwest Chicken Salad. There is a clock in our room. Nothing particularly surprising there, but this one is a bit special. It is a large black box which is a clock, an alarm, a radio, and multi-MP3 connecting music playing device, thing.
It's quite intimidating sitting there all black and lit up, with the time blaring out in a bright bluey glow. And here was the problem, for when we first arrived it was showing the wrong time. It took ...

... entrance, where we stored a change of shoes, umbrellas, etc. Very handy. Worth the money.

It was drizzling slightly as we arrived so our first photos show us in ponchos and raincoats (suggest you buy these at a Dollar Store and bring with you, rather than paying $10 for the Disney version). But we quickly were able to ditch them (quick trip back to the locker) when the rain disappeared.

    We headed straight to ...

... onsite at The Hard Rock which allowed us into the park 1 hour before the park opens. This is essential as when the gates open the crowd head in one direct! I had done my homework so had a plan - straight to olivander's for the wand ceremony. Only 30 people are allowed in at a time and we were in the first thirty. Later in the day the queue is enormous and in my opinion, really not worth it. However, fortunately for us, Ella was chosen as the only ...
