Route 66.. Our first day

A travel blog entry by reevefamily on Sep 18, 2014

... at the war museum (very humbling) and at the top floor which housed an art gallery of R66 photos. At the museum today, the mayor of Pontiac made a special effort to introduce himself to Liam and ask him all about where he was from and what plans he had to see USA. Progress is slow at the moment because every time we ask an American a question they just want to talk, and how they can talk!!! Nice though . Visited the war museum and the Route 66 museum at Pontiac, really interesting. The bike really uses lots of fuel, only did 100 miles and needed to refill it, it cost an outstanding $7 ...

Happy birthday John!

Happy birthday to my love and my favorite clown, John! We celebrated after the show with wine, junk food, and four episodes of "Girls". A very lovely day which would have only been lovelier if we could have spent it with friends and family back home. But everyone sent John wonderful birthday greetings throughout the entire day, so I know we weren't far from people's thoughts. :)
