... thought came to me as we began cruising today (Tuesday). We had moored near a lock the night before and so I walked up to the lock to get it ready for Hazel to drive into. The lock was in our favour so I only had to push open the lock gates. It was then that I realised I had forgotten the anti vandal key that is necessary for operating the locks on the Erewash Canal. Hazel constantly has to remind me to get things ready and prepared before I start a task. ...

... gone off to the pub opposite for lunch and had done the same thing the day before and gone off for four hours, a definite No No for a boater. This could well have been the person responsible for leaving the lock gates open.

We set to, preparing to fill our tank and after about 10 minutes, the owner of the miss - moored boat returned. He chatted to Hazel in a very friendly way saying, "go ahead, carry on what you're

... It's ALL about Richard the third here and they are renovating most of the city center to add more about him. We have hit ever museum and historic site and (I believe) every playground within long walking distance.
