... so much beauty, so much history and just so much to see and do. Gettysburg and Lancaster are places everyone should visit. It is so well worth it, I promise!

Arrived at Casa Calma Hotel at 6am. Avery small boutique hotel that is enviromentaly friendly. Easy to spot in the street as the whole hotel is covered with a hanging garden!

... and turned left to get on the yellow-blazed Hackers Trail and followed it for about a mile to Hackers Falls. Shortly before we reached the waterfall, we could hear water crashing and followed a path to the creek, but this was just a long slide, not the waterfall. Don Laine Campground was one of the nicest campgrounds we have been in since we left Roseville California. It was in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania just north of Allentown. Ok actually homeless dude is not a hiker, he is a homeless guy we think. Because the hostel is free and basically just open, he's here. We were careful about our stuff when going out but he seems nice enough. Often the hikers joke that the only difference between a hiker and a homeless person is Gortex.
