I stayed with some guys who are better runners than I'll ever be (thanks Matt Walsh for providing the referral) and Flagstaff was the shortest stop of the trip so far at 24 hours and my next stop is St. Louis, MO for some Mardi Gras celebrations. ... remember that Route 66 went right in front of it at one time. We also saw a campground across the street from the garage with teepee picture. All that is the there is the big sign announcing the campground and a field of lamp posts indicating where the sites were. We saw a several other campgrounds in two bit towns that are still there and dumps beyond belief, but I'm sure at one time they were very nice. A ...

There wasn't much of a temperature difference when I arrived at Flagstaff Pulliam Airport in Coconino County. In summer the temperature are similar to Washoe County and average around 49ºC though in winter, the temperatures drop drastically and average around 4ºC. The annual precipitation is 323mm.

Coconino County is found at the latitude of 35º 38’N and longitude of 112º ...

Basically, if i was a giant and i were to approach one of these towers and just so much as flick it like your older sibling would just as you were to finish a delicate masterpiece, it would crumble and fall to a million different pieces upon the hard surface you built upon. Needless to say, it's a show of extravagantly well-formed pieces of artwork which you get to gaze at while driving a ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Ramada West - Grand Canyon Area Flagstaff

Schönes Hotel für Tagesausflüge in Flagstaff und Umgebugn

    from

Nice hotel for day trips in the Flagstaff area.

    from

Our stay at the Ramada West-Grand Canyon Area was very nice.

The hotel is great for being "home" for day trips in the Flagstaff area.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our two kids really enjoyed the poo---very clear/clean.

The hot tub was nice at the end of the day.

The breakfast was just right to start the day.

    The beds were very comfortable.

The hotel is located near many eating places and there's a Walmart across the street.

The hotel is near the highway but it's quiet.

The hotel is not located near any train tracks--it's quiet.

    Still a Great Hotel

    from

The Ramada Inn in Flagstaff, AZ, is a great location to stay while visiting the Grand Canyon and Northern AZ. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. Even though we had a room on the I-40 side it was still quiet. They offer guests a PC in the lobby to check e-mail and etc. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip thorugh S. Utah/N. Arizona/Las Vegas areas. Every morning we had HOT food, e.g. eggs and sausage. Along with the hot goods were the normal continental breakfast items, jucies/coffee, bagels, cereal, and donuts. They even had yogurt! The outdoor swimming pool had yet to open for the season but looked like a good place to relax. We especially appreciated the guest laundry facilities. Everything was exceptionally clean and in good order. I recommend this Hotel for all travelers!

    Great Bargain!

    from

We had a comfortable, clean roomand the staff was very accomodating. This is an excellent bargain in the $70-100 range. The bed linens were very nice and the towels, while not thick, were good quality. No lack of hot water and breakfast was quite extensive for "continental". I would stay here again and would recommend it to my friends.

    Do Not Stay Here

    from

One side of the hotel was boarded up and appeared to be unavailable due to a fire. We were in a room on the other side of the fascility and most everything was TERRIBLE! The refrigerator did not work, nor did the air conditioning. The beds were the worst and the place smelled bad. Two rooms down there were some old russian guys (I recognized the accent and language they were speaking) that were sitting in their room in their underware with the door open (probably because their air was out). My daughters took their shoes off in the room and their white socks turn dark black within 2 minutes; this probably happened from the fire soot that was on the other side of the facility. The wall were thing and we could hear noise from the trafic and the adjoining rooms. WE DECIDED NOT TO STAY AND GOT OUR MONEY REFUNDED IMMEDIATLEY. There was a Comfort Inn up the road that charged about ten dollars more but was the best deal in town and offered a nice room, pool, hot tub, and continental breakfast. Heed my warning and do not stay at the Ramada Limited.

    OK Hotel

    from

Room was clean, however our 4 year old grandson was playing on the floor and his hands, knees, and feet were black with dirt! We got an extra sheet from the office and put it on the floor as well as the towels we used to cover up the carpet to and from the bathroom. Otherwise everyting else was fine.

    Good deal for an inn

    from

Pros: The room was clean, with two huge king size beds.

Cons: Paper-thin walls, noisy old refrigerator, insufficient breakfast.

No big problems, overall a good experience

    Definitely one to miss

    from

The motel is situated between two busy roads, and the noise level is high. Our room was at ground level- access was straight from the parking area. The carpet was so filthy that when we walked on it in bare feet, we found them black ! The noisy refrigerator and barely-working microwave confirmed the overall run down impression of this property. Definitely our worst hotel in a 3 week trip.

    Nice place

    from

We stayed at this hotel during a trip to New Mexico. We found the property to be very clean and well kept. The beds in our room were comfortable and the amentities were more than adiquate. The pool area was clean and the water was great. We would stay here again without question......

The kind of nightmare you usually only hear about

    from

My wife and I stayed here while returning to California on a driving trip. First, we found the hotel to be barely adequate. Our room had no hot water; the room was tackily furnished and was not exactly what we consider to be clean; however, it was late, we were tired and just decided to stay. One thing to note, they did give us a rebate of $10 for no hot water, which I appreciated. I paid in full with my Credit Card and thought that was the end of that. However, one year later to the exact date a new charge appeared on my CC account from this hotel.I called the hotel and spoke to the manager, V.C. Naik (the name he provided); he said it was a no-show/no-cancellation charge. I told him this was impossible as I had NOT made a second reservation. I told him I had stayed there one year earlier on the same date and that it seemed obvious to me that some human input error must have happened a year earlier. He said there was no error and that it was a valid charge. I asked him when the reservation was supposedly made and he said it was on December 30th 2002 at 4:12 PM for December 30th 2002. I then asked for proof that I made the reservation and he said he had a phone number and the credit card expiration date which proved I had made the reservation. I told him that only proved they used my information from the previous year and I also expressed concern over how my personal information could have been so recklessly mismanaged and used without my authorization.Upon further investigation, I found that the credit card expiration date on the reservation did not match my current expiration day I had received a new card in June and my expiration date changed. I also found the phone number did not match any number I have ever had. I told him this obviously shows there was some error. Yet he remained determined that I had made the reservation. V.C. became rude, condescending, irrational and very argumentative. He called me a liar and said I was trying to cheat his hotel. At this point I ended the conversation and contacted Ramada Corporate, my credit card issuing company and the Better Business Bureau. All of them requested more information from the manager, and each time he said he would provide it, but he never did produce on piece of evidence. After countless hours of phone calls and waiting while on-hold, writing letters and filling out forms over a three month period, Ramada Corporate finally agreed that something was obviously wrong and issued a refund check.
