Yesterday, I tried to fix my stay at a guest ranch in the Texas Hill Country. However, the ranch of my choice is closed for a week due to a family wedding. I have checked for alternatives, but I either do not like the ranch or it is way too expensive. Therefore, I will jump on a horse in New Mexico or Arizona. Naturewise I will like those states better anyways.
So, this forenoon I will hop in a bus to San Antonio. Jan 29th in the evening, I will fly to El Paso.

Oh my goodness! What a night! 8 girls in 1 room coming and going at any time of the night. Making loud noises, putting the light on, snorring crazy, clogging the toilet, jumping around in the upper bunk, very limited respect. Under these circumstances I had my difficulties catching sleep. Am I getting too old for a dorm?

... our room. Stuck in the back of the hostel in a cramped, dirty, humid room. Had a reality shock. Keen to spent the least amount of time in the room as possible we headed out in New Orleans to the French Quarter. Walking down Bourbon Street famous for the size of the strip and the eclectic mix of bars. We went straight to a restaurant where we ordered a platter of seafood from shrimp to crab. Walking down the strip we admired the bars and looked forward to a big night out tomorrow ...
