Almost back to the beginning
Well here we are at the FAM CAMP at Fairchild AFB. This was the 1st place we stayed when we started our epic adventure last year. We came up 95 & 195 so were only on I 90 about 1 1/2 miles until we cut of to the base. Once again it was a beautiful drive and good roads. The base is dead as it is a 3 day holiday.We had lost track of time and had no idea of the holiday.

We had really only expected to see more smoke, and yet... we saw the fire on the mountain, got backed up in the incident services traffic (catering trucks, water, etc), saw the helicopter staging area (I'd never seen helicopters that large before), and saw a couple firefighters at ...
Day 1
300 miles, from Redmond to Post Falls Idaho. Very hazy day today driving through Eastern Washington, we could see multiple fires to the east.
We're heading east fairly quick, the plan is to make Yellowstone by tomorrow. So far so good!
