San Francisco mit Flower-Power-Wetter
... sind wir dann noch an der City Hall, dem Opernhaus, der Bibliothek und vielen vielen anderen tollen Gebäuden vorbei gelaufen und zurück zur Metro.
Ich war auch einfach nicht mehr aufnahmefähig - gerade gegen Abend mussten wir gegen mehr und mehr Leute ankämpfen und das hat geschlaucht... puuuh.
Soooo... das war's dann wohl mit USA :o) Morgen geht's mit dem Flieger zurück nach Seattle und mit dem Bus nach Vancouver... Guuute Nacht!

... men det er ikke umiddelbart så nemt, når man gerne vil have det sikkert og billigt. Men efter lidt research er vi end op i en überlækker - JA MED AUTOMATGEAR - Ford Fusion, hvis nogle skulle være interesseret i biler, en smækker lille lækker sag. Ja, så kom den store køreprøve - midt i byen, midt på vejen og bagende sol, ol trafik og så i en bil med automatgear og med flere ensrettet veje end ...
A Much Needed Day on the Beach
... about 4:30 we headed back to the car, bound for Yosemite. Actually, tonight we’re staying in a town called Merced, a little under two hours outside of Yosemite, because hotels are few and far between near the park. Tomorrow, we head to Yosemite National Park, which should be really interesting. Today was a great day to catch up and just relax, and mom will get to see her giant trees tomorrow, so we’re all pretty happy with the way things have gone.

California dreaming
... there’s 372 cells I think over 3 floors and 3 blocks, there’s also 6 solitary confinement cells I couldn’t bring myself to walk into these ones let alone close the door behind me. In the cellhouse I also saw the recreation field, the dining room and the correctional officer’s quarters. On the way around I learnt a bit about the battle of Alcatraz and the escape attempts. I’m glad I went over early to avoid the crowds and then of course the hordes ...
Closing the Book

I started applying for random jobs, in different cities nearby, mostly jobs posted on craigslist - pizza maker, nanny, neuroscience intern, prep cook at a ski resort. I ended up getting a job working with kids with autism, basically what I was doing before. I have really mixed feelings about going back to this field, and I'll leave it at that. But it is going well so far.
