The program is coming to an end. Today I received my flight to Ottawa. Daniela, Alex, Bert, Nolan,and I fly from Edmonton to Calgary at 7:35 am on Dec 1. Then Alex, Nolan, Daniela and I fly to Ottawa at 10:30. Nolan will go home to Kingston from there, Alex will go to his home in Ottawa and I will go home with Daniela.

On November 30, after dinner, we will leave Lacombe and head to Edmonton where we will stay in a hotel since we have to be at the airport at 5 am. ...

At least we were all together..

... truly enjoying himself. And when he gets a stuffed animal, oh my goodness its actually bizarre how much Guido loves stuffies, but also very cute.

Next we have Nolan. He is the youngest in our group and also the newest member. He actually didn't join our group until mid-august so I imagine it must have been difficult coming into a group that already knew each other and the community. He also came just after Valerie left,, and it is a difficult thing to fill a hole not ready ...

Despite my exhaustion, it has been a productive and interesting week. Last weekend was Fernandas birthday. On Saturday we had a surprise party for her and on Sunday we went to Banff with Pat&Morris (our previous host family) Paula&Perry, Daniela, Deysi, Guido, Bert and Blake. I told them where I was heading and it turns out that they also are heading out on a mission trip to Brazil in the near future. Mentioned that I couldn't believe that I was actually doing this. So we chatted a little bit more and just when I thought it was all over they asked me if they could pray for me. Total strangers praying for me....Sweet. ... came, had them slow down, then pulled in behind them to pass the bear. I stopped at the Saskatchewan River Crossing for lunch ($11 for a hot dog!), then turned east on Hwy 11.
