... that we are never going to be best friends but that doesn't mean we can't make the most of the next month and be friends.. Juan, who I have also been having problems with, apologized to me, which really meant a lot to me and felt good.

We did an activity called "hotseat" where everyone gets to opportunity to receive appreciation from the other group members and when it was my turn, I almost cried.. I got the expected comments from the people ...

... I am so thankful for David because he has shown me that even young people can be incredibly smart and mature. He has also shown me how to gracefully accept constructive criticism and how to own up to your mistakes. I have both love and a tremendous amount of respect for David. I will definitely be going to see him when I return to Peru, and it will be lovely to spend time with him as a friend, not a supervisor.

... never want the fear of goodbyes to keep me from forming relationships with people because its all about the experience. Anyways, I believe that if someone is meant to be in my life, they will continue to be, no matter how far apart we are. As I told Daniela yesterday, there is nothing in the world that you HAVE to do, and there are very few things that you cant do, so just take each day as it comes and do what makes you happy. No goodbye has to be forever.

I told them where I was heading and it turns out that they also are heading out on a mission trip to Brazil in the near future. Mentioned that I couldn't believe that I was actually doing this. So we chatted a little bit more and just when I thought it was all over they asked me if they could pray for me. Total strangers praying for me....Sweet. ... came, had them slow down, then pulled in behind them to pass the bear. I stopped at the Saskatchewan River Crossing for lunch ($11 for a hot dog!), then turned east on Hwy 11. Nice road...at the beginning. Traveling through the mountains, lots of lakes and rivers...then you hit the plains. This was quite possibly the most boring road I have ever been on.
