Ramada Limited Pensacola

Pensacola... the show was good, the hotel was horrible.<br><br>For the record, Pensacola does not count as Florida. The panhandle is not Florida. I know Florida. Pensacola is Alabama light. <br><br>I couldn't even find a Publix nearby!<br><br>On to New Orleans!!!!! <br><br>:)<br>

De camino hacia New Orleans, paramos a visitar dos Parques Nacionales, el Big Lagoon, uno de los mejores parques en la costa de los USA, y el Tarkiln Bayou Park, caracterizado por las raras especies de plantas como algunas carnivoras.<br><br> On the way to New Orleans, we stopped to visit two national parks, Big Lagoon, one of the best parks on the coast of the USA, and Tarkiln Bayou Park, featuring the rare species of plants and some carnivores.<br>

Well, Liz, Cathy and TJ had the margaritas. I stuck with Sprite for this one. TJ caught a few waves at the beach even though there was hardly anything to catch. Then we went back to Liz's where Cathy took control as chef. She and Liz made this awesome bruschetta ...

... lights and all tons of cars. We all got off and proceeded east on 90. To my horror, the rains came in buckets and 4 minues later i was soaked alll the way thru. Waterproof Gear...my ass!<br><br>After two hours i'd made it 7 miles on SR 90. I got back to I-10 and was the only one on the road for miles and miles. I gave it more gas, which did two things: first, i froze my tail off. Secondly, I couldnt see anything due my faceshiled fogging up. It just got too dangerous ...

... a pesky fork-seal leak Id noticed the day before. We started talking about throttle-locks, to keep my hand from falling off by the end of the day. He ended up giving me, for FREE, a little paddle shaped piece of plastic called a cramp buster. It slips on the right hand grip and you just lay your palm on it instead of having to twist the grip all day long. Oh....my....gosh. this thing is a miracle! I rode about 650 miles today ...

... a hurricane must wield. The pool at the motel was over-flowing after 2 hours of relentless, driving rain.....amazing to see. We were in the Laundromat when it hit town, so we decided to make the dash back to our room with the clean laundry in our laundry bag. The room was a 25 meter dash away. We had to bring most of our washing back to get dried once the rain had stopped.<br><br>Time to leave the beach and head North now. Next stop Nashville Tennessee via Atlanta Georgia.

Leeroy experienced a road trip U.S.A style 6:30am straight to the coach with a stop at Pensacola beach nice white sands e.t.c. for lunch &amp; Avo...too bad there was a thunder storm warning so beach was closed for the afternoon so ended up a 8 hour straight drive.. the seas were angry that day my friends.

... I was still pretty exhausted and didn't have my head in the game the way I should have. I am sure that I will learn to stay closer to my camera in future ventures so I don't lose the memories of what makes all this travel so great.<br>

... sign, we did realize we had crossed the state line and were now in Florida, the last and final state of our cross-country odyssey. It was a bit nostalgic, realizing we were so close to the end. My feelings were mixed, as I am happy to be in the final stages of the trip, yet not really wanting it to end either. Di felt the same way.
