    Wed Oct 1st drove out to Promontory Summit location of the Central Pacific & Union Pacific Railroads met on May 10, 1869.

    Watched as they moved the two replicas from storage shed onto tracks as they had done in 1869.

    From Glacier, we made our way down through Idaho and went to Craters of the Moon, seeing lava fields, cinder cones and spatter cones. We stayed in Arco, the first city in the world to be lit by atomic power. Then on to Brigham City, Utah just north of Salt Lake City.     Here we are on our way to Yellowstone. We stayed at a KOA in Brigham City Utah for an overnight stay. They had some horses there so Ashley was extremely happy. Since we were close to Golden Spike National Monument we headed out there first thing with out the RV's. I did not realize how out in the middle of nowhere this place was.     OK, everyone wants to know where we are. We got up this morning packed up my RV, hooked up to Paul's truck as planned. Paul,Jean, Kathy and I headed out over the mountain to Cedar City, Utah. It took about 1 3/4 hours when we pulled into the KOA. I then waited while the lady at the KOA moved things around so we could stay several days in the same spot.
