Another sleep in, such a treat. Spent most of the morning at home as Jeff went to do rounds. Father's Day for me here and Mackie gave me his card then decided he wanted it and I could have the envelope. Today is our final day on the west coast. We decided to check out Newport Beach, Balboa and Laguna. The drive through Newport Beach is very pretty along the PCH. We took the ferry over to Balboa Island and what a treasure that place is! It reminded me of Nantucket. Lots of smaller (million dollar) homes and quaint shops. ... a day at the beach, sun is coming out. And then try to hitch a ride to San Diego where I can meet up with a guy on CouchSurfing called Phillip Creed. Phil agreed to let me stay Friday night.
